About us
Kadir Arslan is an photographer and creative director based in İstanbul. After graduating from Dokuz Eylul University Faculty of Fine Arts Photography Department, he collaborated with various fashion brands and developed concepts for both commercial and editorial projects. His interest in photography began at an early age after encountering fashion and documentry magazines.
To Arslan, fashion is a communication tool, and he strives to reflect that in his images. He describes collage making and creating a brand new composition from multiple different images as a reflection of his photographic language. The desire to liberate from one’s own mold is the main notion in his photography.
During his fine arts education, he published fanzines about collage making, photography and literature. His work also took part in photography exhibitions.
He was inspired by the soul of printmaking and that formed the essence of his photographic language.
Today, he continues to work in Istanbul.
